Un voyage incroyable. Des plats mémorables. Une cuisine vibrante et vivante. Voilà le souvenir que j’ai de Reykjavik. Je vous emmène cette fois en Islande, un pays que je rêvais de connaitre depuis longtemps. Une île intrigante, curiosité géologique que j’ai maintes fois survolée et que j’ai vue par les hublots des avions m’emmenant dans des contrées lointaines. Et pourtant jamais je n’ai eu la sensation d’aller aussi loin. Le bout du monde, la fin du monde (ou le début) la sensation dérangeante et plaisante à la fois d’une fin de monde imminente par une nature tourmentée. Mais par dessus tout, une ville extrêmement chaleureuse, parée pour les hivers longs et rigoureux. Des restaurants et des hôtels “cosy”, des plats réconfortants. On a presque envie d’un automne pour se réfugier sous un plaid et de se délecter de plats régressifs et pourtant totalement maitrisés par les chefs à l’imagination débordante et bouillonnante. Nous découvrirons Reykjavik sous un angle inattendu, entre une chocolaterie artisanale, la (re)découverte du Skyr, des serres par géothermie, des fermes de moutons et de chèvres, et des boulangeries aux effluves délicieuses. On a commencé avec un soupe aux fruits de mer divine. Des langoustines, des moules, des noix de Saint Jacques.&nbsp; On a d’abord le bol où tout se trouve puis ils versent la soupe sur la crème fouettée !<br />

Après une bonne nuit de sommeil et une bonne digestion, c’est le ventre vide que je me lève. Mais je me réjouis d’aller voir les curiosités géologiques de la région. Direction, le Cercle d’Or ! On peut y voir la faille la plus connue dans le site de Þingvellir.</div>

Le but de notre venue, une dégustation de Skyr: LE produit phare le plus connu hors d’Islande. C’est techniquement un fromage, mais cela ressemble plus à une sorte de yaourt très épais, très riche en protéines.&nbsp;</div>

C’est ici que le cabillaud, ou morue, devient le poisson salé prêt à l’export. On peut assister au processus de l’arrivée du poisson à la sortie de la morue salée. Les poissons sont vidés, les filets sont levés puis entreposés dans le sel.&nbsp;</div>

Les cuissons des plats sont maitrisées. Les poissons, comme toujours sur ce séjour, sont incroyablement savoureux. Ce cabillaud est servi avec du fenouil, et une sauce au vin blanc crémeuse.</div>
