Cereal bars

Difficulté : Easy
Catégorie : Sweet

In the heart of summer, you may be going for a walk with your family. I suggest these cereal bars to give you energy! Very simple to make, they are also delicious. Some dried fruits and lots of oatmeal, I put glucose syrup in it to avoid crystallization. You will be able to keep them for a long time. Feel free to put in whatever you want and vary the amount of seeds.

Recipe for a frame of 20cm of side:
  • 260g of oat flakes “big” in organic store
  • 20g of sesame seeds
  • 20g pumpkin seeds
  • 60g of raisins
  • 10g of dried grated coconut
  • 20g of almonds
  • 20g of pecan nuts
  • 50g rapeseed oil
  • 140g of glucose syrup
  • 30g golden syrup (or honey)
  • 5g of liquid vanilla

Pour the oats, sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds into a container.

Add raisins, coconut, chopped almonds and pecan pieces.

In a small saucepan, pour the oil, golden syrup, liquid vanilla and glucose syrup.

Bring to a simmer.

Pour into the container and mix well.

Everything must be perfectly impregnated.

Pour into the frame, which is placed on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. I have here a frame of 20cm of side. If you are using a larger frame, circle or mold of another size, you will need to calculate the proportions based on the area.

Spoon the surface to make it as even as possible.

Dry in the oven at 60°C for 40 minutes. Carefully turn the frame over (be careful the bar is not yet very firm) then dry on the other side for another 40 minutes.

Let cool to room temperature and then decant.

Now you can slice the bar.

Wrap each cereal bar in cling film. You can keep them for months!
