With the cold weather, there’s nothing like a nice, warm, comforting soup. I often make seasonal soups, but I came across some organic broccoli and spinach and really wanted to cook them. The result is a delight. I add cream and a little grated parmesan. This soup was unanimously approved!
I’m launching my new Thai cooking class, number 2! It will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm. If it’s full soon, I’ll do it on the 5th as well. This time we will see the famous pad thai and mango sticky rice. But also the pad see ew, a dish with large rice noodles and chicken. And finally kao tang nah tang, crispy rice cakes with chicken satay sauce and red curry paste! Here is the link for registration:

On a recent vacation from writing my next book (due out in March 2020), I had bread pudding for breakfast. I then realized that I didn’t have this recipe on my cooking blog yet! That’s why I put the braided bun in, so I could then make this bread pudding. Because I always prefer it to brioche, rather than bread. It’s quite funny, because visually it’s quite particular, it looks like it’s dry. While in the mouth it is a real delight: ultra soft and light in texture. The brioche absorbs the liquid and becomes ultra melting. Beware, because very addictive !
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted any bun recipes. So it’s time to catch up! This time I’m offering you my recipe for braided brioche, super soft and perfect for breakfast or a snack. It is also very easy to make, you just need to make it the day before to have a dough that will rest in the fridge overnight.
Satay phở soup is a fairly recent variation of traditional Vietnamese phở soup. I did not see it during my travels in Vietnam, but in restaurants in France. Whether traditional or not, the result is simply a pure delight. The broth is enriched with satay, so chili, peanuts and sugar. The soup is a little more hearty and spicy and will go well with large shrimp. Of course, meatballs can also be used. I’m just waiting for it to be cool enough to comfort myself with this decadent soup!
